Residents of a Holbeach care home can now enjoy even rainy days in their new summer house.
The grand unveiling at Patchett Lodge took place during the care home’s summer fair.
Sue Gardner, manager, said the summer house was bought with funds donated in memory of a former resident, Brenda Crease.
She said: “Brenda was so happy here and her son wanted to donate some money after she died. She loved her garden so we thought a summer house would be nice for the residents.
“Her picture is in there and we call it Brenda’s pad. I’m sure she would have been in there potting the plants if she was still with us.”
The summer fair raised more than £600 for the residents’ comfort fund.
There were craft stalls, a tombola, games, a car boot sale, raffle, entertainment and a barbecue.
Proceeds will be used for outings and the upkeep of the home’s minibus.
