Book of the Week from Bookmark in Spalding

Our Book of the Week this week is Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly by Agatha Christie which we are offering at £10.99 (RRP £12.99) plus an extra 20 per cent off with the voucher contained in the Spalding Guardian of June 26.

This is a real treat for all Poirot fans, as a previously unpublished version of this story has been brought out to mark 60 years since it was first written by Agatha Christie to help raise money for her local church. It was ultimately never published and instead became the basis for one of her favourite novels, Dead Man’s Folly, and she wrote a Miss Marple story for the church instead.

With an introduction by Tom Adams, whose intricate paintings graced Agatha Christie’s paperback covers throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and who has painted the remarkable new jacket for this book, a preface by Agatha Christie’s grandson and an afterword about the writing of the story by the renowned Christie expert, Dr John Curran, this novella is a chance not only to read a previously unpublished version of a Poirot story but also to gain new insights into Agatha Christie!
