BLAZING sunshine didn’t stop a full house turning up for a charity bingo event in Holbeach.
More than 80 people sat down in the WI Hall to raise money for the Spalding and Holbeach Macmillan Cancer Support group.
The event, which raised £630, was held on Saturday afternoon and organised by Les Ward and Brenda Twigg.
Mr Ward said: “I wanted to hold an event in memory of my brother, Richard Dunham from Spalding, who died recently of cancer – and I wanted to help the Macmillan nurses. It makes you smile when an event like this is successful.”
He and Brenda hold regular bingo events, raising funds for the ATC and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
