Former heart patient Ben Richards took part in the London Triathlon, raising over £200 for a charity which means a lot to him.
The money Ben raised will be going to KeeptheBeat, which helps to fund the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester where he was given life-saving treatment only a few years ago. Ben (36) swam 1500m, cycled 40k and then ran 10k in two hours and 26 minutes. He said: “The swimming was ok, but the water was a bit choppy, the cycling was really good as I really enjoyed the route and the running was very difficult. “I am really pleased with how it all went!”
