Bank Holiday flower festival

VISITORS to Crowland Abbey’s Flower Festival this weekend can look forward to some inspirational interpretations on the theme “Songs of Yesteryear”.

Flower festival committee chairman Valerie Capes said: “With such a theme there is bound to be a fantastic display, cleverly interpreted by our dedicated team of flower arrangers.”

The festival runs from Friday-Monday inclusive, opening daily from 10am-5pm except Sunday when the start time is midday.

Admission is by donation and there will be free parking.

Mrs Capes said: “As usual, before or after looking at the delightful flower arrangements, there will be home-made light refreshments available as well as some interesting stalls for visitors to browse.”

The festival will be brought to a close with Songs of Praise at 7pm on Monday and all are welcome to join the service.
