The popular Maze in Maize attraction at Whaplode began its final week with the annual Nightmaze on Saturday evening.

The maze is open during the summer but closes with two spooky nights at the end of the season.

Families dressed up to enjoy maze monsters, inflatable fun, a bouncy castle and a disco.

“It was an enjoyable night and our ghouls enjoyed frightening all the visitors,” said owner Lance Whittington.

He said that business has been a lot better at the maze than in 2012 when bad weather put visitors off.

“The weather was perfect on Saturday too, and we hope it will be good for the final Nightmaze this Saturday,” he added.

Maze in Maize is back this Saturday evening at Sholtsgate, Whaplode (PE12 6TZ), from 6.30pm onwards. Those under 17 must be accompanied by an adult and, remember, bring a torch!
