This year’s season of Music in the Gardens organised by the Friends of Ayscoughfee in association with the Spalding Ukulele Orchestra begins this Sunday with the City of Lincoln Band.
Paul Walls of Friends of Ayscoughfee says: “What could be better – good music, good weather and enjoyable company in a fantastic garden setting?
“Seventeen years ago the Friends of Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens was formed with two objectives. Firstly, to bring al fresco music concerts back into the gardens and secondly to restore a proper band stand in the gardens. The first we have achieved; the second is at last in sight.
“Ayscoughfee Hall and gardens has been described as the jewel in Spalding and South Holland’s crown. It is the people’s park, hopefully for a long time to come a people’s park filled with the sound of music played by the people of south Lincolnshire.
“On behalf of the Friends of Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens, thank you to all those past and present who have worked for and supported the effort to make our gardens a place of entertainment.”
The concert starts at 2pm – take your own chair as seating is limited.
