Jan Whitbourn says Tulip Radio has been fortunate to have received help from Bakkavor’s staff shop over the last two years and in return they have been pleased to help at the company’s annual Family Fun Day held at Springfields Events Centre.
This year’s Bakkavor Family Fun Day is at Springfields on Saturday, July 19 and is for members of staff over all the sites in South Holland who will compete against each other as part of a fun It’s a Knockout contest.
The evening’s entertainment is open to members of the community and features a number of local and national musical acts, including Major Dennis Hannant who is just retiring from long service in the Army and looks forward to a new career as a singer. Local band The Wild Boys, always popular for their ’80s covers, are performing together with the Sensational Soul Band and Imogen Grey plus headliners QE11 who are probably the country’s finest Queen tribute band.
The whole event will be compered by singer and comedian A-Jay. Contact South Holland Centre for tickets, for Party in the Park on July 19.
The day will conclude with a fabulous firework display, weather permitting, which promises to light up Spalding’s evening sky, leaving everyone with wonderful memories to take home with them.
On Sunday, July 20 the event opens to the community, and all families are welcome to attend, with fairground rides and other attractions including the ever popular craft and antiques fair, all based at Springfields Events Centre, open from 11am until 4pm.
