TEN and 11-year-olds kept on going to a Holbeach school through the Easter holidays – and had a great time.

Year six children at William Stukeley Primary School were given the option of brushing up maths and English skills ready for the transition to secondary school, and 16 of them took up the challenge.

The Easter Booster School ran for four days of mornings devoted to literacy and numeracy and afternoons to felt-making, screen-printing and tag rugby.

Organiser Nicola Wynne said: “I feel very proud of them giving up half their Easter holiday to boost their learning.”
