HALF of a West Pinchbeck dynamic duo – Jim Peach – has been recognised for his hard work for the village.

The charitable organisation which helps village halls, Community Links, has an annual prize called the John Barker Trophy. And John is this 2010 runner-up.

Parish councillor and village hall committee secretary Lynne Andrew was determined Jim should be recognised for his voluntary work and has nominated him for the award four years in a row.

She would have liked to have nominated his equally hard working wife, Anne, too but sadly the award is solely for an individual.

Mrs Andrew said: “Anne and Jim do a phenomenal amount for West Pinchbeck – they are effectively known as Mr and Mrs West Pinchbeck.

“They are just little dynamos, they just never stop.”

Both serve on the parochial church council (PCC) and village hall committee – Jim is a churchwarden and chairs the village hall committee – and Anne raises a lot of money for children’s charities
