Have your say

Holbeach Cemetery Chapels committee member Trish Bryant has visited many people in the community collecting photographs, stories and other First World War memorabilia for the exhibition in September.

She has uncovered interesting information, such as the formation of Holbeach Yeomanry – see the photograph on page 32.

The exhibition on September 13 will also include contributions from Holbeach’s primary schools as well as University Academy Holbeach.

Cemetery Chapels committee member Robert Meeds managed to identify First World War graves in the cemetery and so there will be a trail for visitors to follow.

Both Holbeach & District Civic Society and Holbeach Cemetery Chapels are collecting memorabilia for the exhibition.

They are still interested in hearing from people who have artefacts and photographs that could be included in the display.

Contact Jenny on 01406 422319 or email jenny.worth@qvfoods.com if you have something to contribute.

• The exhibition is on Saturday, September 13 (11am to 4pm).
