MELODY Bear and Boogie Babes are dance classes, for children aged two to four, at Polka Dot Academy, Cradge Bank, Spalding.

Melody Bear classes introduce children to their first ballet steps which provide a good foundation for all other styles of dancing. Children will use movement to take part in stories with Melody Bear, dancing along to catchy tunes. All children will delight in the ups and downs of the loveable teddy who never gives up. Melody Bear classes are designed to promote young children’s physical fitness, coordination and early learning skills. This class introduces children to dance and movement using the natural actions of the body such as running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping and galloping.

Boogie Babes classes provide toddlers with a sense of dance. Developing a sense of rhythm, building confidence and helping with coordination the children are taught disco related moves which are lots of fun. Up-tempo music keeps the children focused and motivates them to be creative.

A 30 minute lesson costs £3, if your child would like to participate in both classes the cost is £5 and they will receive a free drink of squash and a snack during the break.

Both classes take place on Tuesdays, Melody Bear from 10am to 10.30am and 1.30pm to 2pm and Boogie Babes fro 10.45am to 11.15am and 2.15pm to 2.45pm.

The classes are taught by qualified teachers, Becky Tarrant and Danielle Parkin.
