Members of Brownies and Rainbows, as well as pupils from Sutton St James Community Primary School, played valuable roles in preparing for the annual village flower festival.
They designed and decorated their own displays in the church with parable themes like The Feeding of the 5,000.
The four-day festival was over the bank holiday weekend and many local people turned up to enjoy the good weather and and abundance of flowers.
Outdoor tombola stands, cake raffles and jewellery stalls helped raise £1,600 to go towards the church funds.
The displays in the church are still open to the public until the weekend.
