TWO 7.6 metre tall structures devised by a Pinchbeck firm have had a prime spot at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this week.

The giant impatiens displays were put together by Nursery Fresh in Mill Green Road to sit either side of the long lake at the iconic Surrey site.

Sales director Peter Hull said: “I’m not saying there have been sleepless nights but we have given this a lot of attention and it is nice for bedding plants to be recognised because they aren’t always given the same attention.

“It has been a really good exercise – the guys have got excited and taken ownership of it. Hopefully it will be seen on the telly this week.”

The show is run by the Royal Horticultural Society.

It began on Tuesday and runs until Sunday in the grounds of the historic palace.
