Spalding Rugby Club’s Under 12s won the Notts , Lincs and Derby (NLD) Finals for the third successive year.
They bounced back from being 1-0 down at half-time in the final against Scunthorpe to retain their title.
Scunthorpe may boast National 3 status but Spalding went hard at the opposition and produced some fine rugby to lift the trophy.
Spalding reached the final by coming from behind to beat old foes Stamford in the semi-final.
Stamford led at the break but Spalding raised their game in the second half and equalised before grabbing a winner right at the death.
Victories over Newark (1-0) and Derbyshire team Melbourne (2-1) had earlier seen Spalding win their pool to reach the last four.
Spalding Under 17s were joint winners of the NLD Plate while the Under 11s were runners-up in the NDL Cup.
The Under 15s just missed out on reaching the final of the NLD Cup, being narrowly beaten on countback, while the Under 16s also went out in the semi-finals.
It’s been a good spell for the club with the Under 15s & Under 16s both reaching the semi-finals of their county cups with the Under 17s winning their age group’s county Shield Final.
Spalding also won all three of their matches to win the Boston Festival, defeating Kesteven, Market Rasen and Peterborough.
