South Holland has been blooming all over with flower festivals being held in the area’s churches.
The 51st annual church flower festival turned St Matthew’s in Sutton Bridge into a blaze of colour with its theme Now and Then.
Held over three days, it charted how things, events and organisations have changed over the years from the Royal British Legion to motorbikes and to conquering Everest.
Refreshments and light lunches were available and there was a marquee outside with every imaginable plant so visitors could re-stock their gardens.
Gedney’s annual flower festival took place over three days.
Held in St Mary Magdalene Church, the theme was famous films.
There were also stalls selling cakes, plants, produce, books and bric-a-brac, plus refreshments.
It conclude with a Songs of Praise service on the Sunday evening, taken by the Rev Rosemary Goddard.
