2 – Football games, arts and crafts, face painting and badge making were all part of the fun for children at Monks House Primary School’s summer fayre in Spalding last Saturday, July 4. (SG040715-136TW)

3 – Also on the Saturday, there was a plentiful supply of visitors to the annual St Gilbert and St Hugh’s Church garden party, held in the garden of Brian and Jane Tidswell at Riseholm farm in Gosberton Clough. There were many stalls and competitions and a fantastic total of £1,700 was raised. Our picture shows Sandra Thompson and Alma Weeks at the bric-a-brac stall. (SG040715-137TW)

4 – Performers old and new got together at Spalding’s South Holland Centre on the Saturday to celebrate ten years of the Polka Dot Academy and Limelight Youth Theatre in Spalding. Around 150 performers hit the stage for each of the two performances, hosted by TV presenter Jeff Brazier. The sell-out audiences were treated to highlights from the last ten years of shows, with the youngest performer just two-years-old. Photos: SG 040715-144TW)

5 – Around ten pets joined the monthly family worship at St Matthew’s Church in Sutton Bridge on the Sunday for their own special service. A chicken called “Colourful” joined dogs big and small for the special service. “A horse was supposed to come but I think the owners thought better of it,” said Rev David Oxtoby. Pictured is Midge, enjoying the service with Ben and Liz Smith. (SG050715-205TW)
