Public services in Lincolnshire could be hit if more than 15,000 public sector workers go on strike over a 2.45 per cent pay offer.
Local Government union Unison is advising members to reject a Government pay deal, which has been described as an "insult".

The union represents more than 15,000 public sector workers in Lincolnshire and members have until tomorrow to decide what action to take.

Should a proposed two-day strike go ahead, union members at South Holland District Council, home care workers and cleaners could be involved along with non-teaching staff at schools.

Ravi Subramanian, Unison East Midlands regional head of local government, said: "I think the pay offer is an insult. Everyone knowns that the cost of living is going up, even if the rate of inflation does not properly show that."
