An organisation in Spalding that matches up volunteers with groups and projects has been re-launched.
David Slaughter has moved from Boston to take over the South Lincolnshire Community Volunteer Service in Spalding, which has been inactive for the last four months.

He is in the process of contacting all active groups and potential volunteers to try to build a definitive database for the area.

He said: "We are basically rewinding to day one and starting again with a complete relaunch."

The Spalding Volunteer Centre is open behind Spalding JobCentre in Westlode Street and anyone who wants to offer their services as a volunteer or has a group that requires people to sign up should contact 01775 718008 or go to the website www.do-it.org.uk
