Two houses in East Elloe Avenue, Holbeach, were burgled on Thursday at around 9pm.
Jewellery and cash were taken, as well as a briefcase which was later retrieved.
Witnesses saw a stocky 35-40 year-old man wearing dark clothes sat in a grey car nearby.
