Two men made off with cash and bank cards from Whaplode Drove Post Office this lunch time after threatening staff with a knife.
A pair of masked men targeted the village Post Office, in Broadgate, at about 1pm this afternoon.

A member of staff handed over a quantity of cash to them after he was threatened with a pocket knife.

One of the offenders also knocked over a man who was in the Post Office at the time and stole cash and banks cards from him.

No-one is thought to be injured as a result of the incident.

The pair, thought to be in their twenties or thirties, were believed to have been driving a white Nissan Micra, which was later found abandoned and burnt out near the A1073 at Crowland.

The offenders are described as white and wearing black ski masks and dark coloured clothing. One of them had stubble, dark coloured hair and tanned skin.
