Right royal day out for charity worker

A British Red Cross worker from Spalding had a royal engagement to keep at Buckingham Palace last week.
Dee Chabba, assistant manager at the Red Cross store in Hall Place, was one of the lucky few who won invitations to go to a royal garden party celebrating 100 years of the humanitarian organisation.
Awful weather curtailed a display from the Red Arrows.
Guests sat in a lavish marquee in the Buckingham Palace grounds, supping tea and tucking into cucumber sandwiches.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles were also there to talk to some of the 7,500 guests.
Mrs Chabba said: "I was chuffed when I found out I had an invitation. It was a fantastic day but it was a shame it rained and we couldn't see the Red Arrows."
At another event on Tuesday were Spalding accountant Mary Burgess, and Whaplode resident Geoff Hoare.
Bakkavor Spalding was also represented by staff shop committee members Pat Baxter, Sue Riley and Andy Green because the shop was nominated by Lord Lieutenant Bridget Cracoft-Eley.
Coun Paul Przyszlack was at the party as a representative of South Holland District Council, while Coun Nick Worth was nominated by vice-lieutenant Tony Worth.
