Michelle's treatment is not available on the NHS and is costing her hundreds of pounds a month.
She has had to sell her car and caravan to help pay for tablets.

Michelle's family owns Spalding hair salon Dad'll Have A Grumble, where she was a stylist until she became too ill to work.

Now her family, friends and clients are fundraising to help cover the cost of some of Michelle's treatment.

She said: "They have been fantastic.

"Obviously I can't afford to pay for my medication indefinitely and I will need it for at least three years.

"The tablets cost £200-£300 a month and I have to get some from India because they are £100 a tablet in England and I need 12 a month."

The fundraising, With You In A Tick, started on the day of Spalding's 50th Flower Parade when cakes and coffee were sold from the Victoria Street salon.

Around £900 was raised, half of which will help pay for Michelle's tablets and the other half will go to Borreliosis and Associated Diseases Awareness UK (BADA UK), a charity trying to raise awareness of Lyme Disease.

Michelle said: "The money will help me a great deal but it is also important to raise awareness about the disease, especially with the summer coming.

"I was overwhelmed by the support we got over the weekend and the interest from people. It was fantastic and I can't thank people enough."
