Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash south of Crowland.
Emergency services were called to the A1073 Crowland Road near Mason's Bridge at 7.55am yesterday (Tuesday) after a silver Saab collided with a yellow Scania lorry.

Cambridgeshire Police confirmed that the man driving the Saab suffered fatal injuries. The next of kin has been informed and police are awaiting formal identification before they released any details about the deceased.

The lorry driver, a 64-year-old man from Peterborough, was taken to Peterborough District Hospital with minor injuries.

PC Francis Crawford, of the Cambridgeshire Road Policing Unit, said: "I would like to hear from anyone on this stretch of road yesterday morning who witnessed this collision to contact us."

The road was reopened at around 4pm.

Anyone with information should contact PC Crawford on 0845 4564564.
