  • Donington youth group Flinders Found-ers is in the running for the neighbourhood category of East Midlands in Bloom.

Judge John Bunkle visited the town to look at the youth park, incorporating a skatepark and BMX park, which the group set up over the last two years.

Margaret Wright, adult member of Flinders Founders, said: "The judging went very well.

"The young people have worked really hard to make Donington a better place and it is nice to see them being acknowledged."
