A Cowbit martial arts champion will join forces with a host of television stars at a worldwide convention next week.
Three-time world forms champion Mark Noyce (33) will give training workshops along with, among others, Jason Frank, star of children's television show Power Rangers, at an international martial arts show in Bradford between November 9 and 11.

Mark, of The Pastures, has an international reputation and holds black belts in kung-fu, karate, tang-soo-do and mugendo. He was inspired to take up martial arts at the age of six after watching the movies of Bruce Lee.

He now runs classes in Peterborough after retiring from world competition in 1998, and is looking into the possibility of running classes in Spalding.

He said: "The event in Bradford is a massive worldwide one and it brings a lot of people in to come and take part in the workshops.

"I am thoroughly looking forward to it, especially having the opportunity to work alongside some of these talented people.

"At the moment I am concentrating on my classes in Peterborough, but I have decided to get myself back out on the circuit a bit more and I'm also looking into the possibility of doing something in Spalding in the future."

Mark retired from competitions at the top of his game, winning his three world championships consecutively, to concentrate on working in television, and will now share the stage with others who have carved out successful careers in martial arts.

He will work with Karen Sheperd, a black belt star of television series Hercules; Yan Min Chen, a star of movie documentary Shaolin Monk: Wheel of Life; and a stuntman who has worked on James Bond films.
