More than £1,000 worth of catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles at Deeping St James Car and Van Hire on Spalding Road.
Offenders climbed over the fence to get into the yard between 4.30pm on Wednesday (July 16) and 10.30am on Thursday, stealing converters worth around £1,100 from four vans and one car.

Numbers of thefts of catalytic converters have risen sharply this year because they contain precious metals platinum, palladium and rhodium, which have soared in value over the past two years.

A thief can remove a converter in just six minutes and sell it for up to £150.

Anyone with information on the Deeping theft can call 01780 752222 quoting crime number BC/08/2215.
