The high-speed Internet system employed by West Pinchbeck-based www. winegifts4u.co.uk bagged the company its second Free Press Business Award in successive years.
Customers can design their own labels and messages to be put onto bottles of wine, T-shirts, chocolates and flowers, which can be sent on as gifts.

Installing a central server and advance broadband has improved productivity by 500 per cent, and director Asgar Dungarwalla revealed that the company had also added several new features in the past 12 months.

He said: "There's no comparison to where we were last year and where we are this year.

"We have had orders from as far away as Fiji and America which were completed.

"It's a family business and my two girls have really worked out how to understand the web.

"Those two have driven the business and put it where it is today.

"We are not only embracing the web but also using videos to tell people how to use our products.

"Over Christmas we showed people how to wrap the festive gifts we sell and then present them in a professional manner."
