Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is more than £3,200 better off thanks to the efforts of Billingborough couple Rex Crowden and Elizabeth Wilkinson who organised a band and comedy night in Donington.

The event is the second of a three-part fundraising campaign for the air ambulance which came to the aid of Rex’s son Ricky Crowden when he was injured at work around five years ago. “We had a fantastic turnout and we are incredibly pleased with the amount raised for the Air Ambulance which provides such an essential service,” said Mr Crowden. The event featured live band Gin House, comedian and singer Brian Martin and singing from Mr Crowden’s daughter Kylie.
