Staff and pupils at St John the Baptist Primary School in Spalding are supporting the Macmillan Cancer Support ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Friday.
Parents and friends of the school are always fantastic at donating beautiful cakes that are sold on the day and are exceptionally generous with their donations.
Pupils Madeline Haunch and Tom Bland have been drumming up support by advertising the event in the playground as parents collect children from school.
The event is Macmillan’s biggest fundraiser, helping to collect a record £20m last year.
Pygott and Crome estate agents, of Bridge Street, Spalding, will also be selling coffee, tea and cakes for the charity on Friday morning, and several members of staff will be taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge around noon.
Long Sutton Barns (behind McDonald’s) are also taking part, from 10am to 4pm, where there will also be a tombola with items donated by craft stallholders.
Wimberley Hall Farm teashop in Weston are also holding a coffee morning, and from noon onwards there will be events at Donington and Spalding libraries
At Sutton St James Baptist Church there will be a coffee morning and ice bucket challenge.
While William Stukeley School in Holbeach are holding their event in the afternoon, with refreshments available from 2.30-3pm.
