SHAKESPEARE’S great story of magic, mystery and mischief, A Midsummer Nights Dream, is brought to life by the St Nicolas Players next week.
In an unusual production the timeframe has been moved from ancient times to the great mystic hippie era of the 1960’s, a period of freethinking, gurus, and magical mystery tours. The psychedelic colours, patterns and costumes of the time complement the wonderful text to create an enchanted atmosphere allowing this great story to enthral and entertain.
The 60’s music blends well with the original text and suits the attitudes of the fairies. The mischievous Puck is played by Daisy Ivatt the new Flower Queen.
The performance is on from today through until Saturday, March 26 at the South Holland Centre, Spalding at 7.30pm. For tickets contact the box office on 01775 764777.
