Staff at Moulton Medical Centre have paid tribute to retiring senior partner Dr Richard W Thorpe.

Practice manager Terri Zeferino said: “Having loyally served the community of Moulton and surrounding areas for 30 years, he is hanging up his stethoscope and going to spend more time on the other loves of his life, travelling with his partner Tina, who also retires at the same time, enjoying fine food and wine, making music with his guitar and shooting.

“Richard has his own unique style which will be sorely missed by his colleagues and patients alike and we all wish him a long, healthy, well deserved and enjoyable retirement.”

Dr Thorpe’s last working day in the surgery is on Tuesday.
