Bourne Motor Racing Club look to the challenging driving conditions ahead when they welcome Mike Swift from Drive4Safety, who will look at various advanced and adverse weather driving techniques.

Mike has worked in the driver training and motor industry for over 30 years, initially qualifying as a mechanic for Ford Motor Company, before he joined the Automobile Association in London.

Mike ultimately rose to become responsible for driving standards throughout the whole of the AA business.

Mike has achieved a number of qualifications including DSA-qualified Instructor and Fleet Instructor, Police Advanced Instructor, Advanced Motorcycle Instructor, Skid Car Instructor and Four Wheel Drive Instructor and so is ideally placed to deliver this timely talk to members and guests on how best to prepare for today’s ever challenging driving conditions.

The talk takes place at The Bourne Corn Exchange Hall on Thursday, October 16 at 8pm.

Non members are always welcome, paying just £3 on the door, and if you are a newly qualified driver, or one just looking to improve your own standards, you will be made particularly welcome.

Further talks planned for the club include a visit from touring car legend Anthony Reid in November, and one of Top Gear’s original presenters and now one of Britain’s best known motoring authorities, Quentin Willson, who will talk to the club in January.
