With Wimbledon just around the corner, Spalding Town Tennis Club could have found a new champion at its free tennis scheme.

Play Tennis ’98 was a national incentive, held at 1,250 clubs across the UK.

Its aim was to attract thousands of new players of all ages into the sport, encourage existing players to play more often and to promote local facilities for the sport.
