What to do this weekend

editorial image

Many of us have probably eaten and drunk a little more than is good for us, so now is the time to make the most of the winter weather and go outdoors.

An invigorating winter walk helps to shed the extra pounds gained over Christmas – with the bonus of possibly witnessing a wildlife spectacle.

If you’re not able to get into the great outdoors, South Holland Area Group of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust’s meeting on Tuesday at Pinchbeck Village Hall (7.30pm) is about wildflowers – everyone welcome.

Other events, include U3A’s talk on St Barnabas Hospice at Pinchbeck Village Hall today (2pm); bingo at Monkshouse Primary School, Spalding, tomorrow (6.45pm); coffee/lunches at Broad Street Methodist Church, Spalding, Saturday (10am on); and Trev ‘Budgie’ Walton at the Lamb & Flag, Whaplode, Saturday (8.30pm).
