GREAT FOR THE FAMILY

Take the children to visit Santa in his grotto at the Dickensian Christmas Fair at Thomas Cowley High School in Donington on Sunday (10am to 4pm). As well as craft competitions and amusements for the youngsters, there are over 60 stalls.

LIVELY NIGHT OUT

Saturday night sees one of Norwich’s finest rhythm and blues outfits come to the Granary in Long Sutton. Paul Tinkler’s Rhythm and Blues Allstars are a four-piece, grass roots boogie woogie rhythm and blues band. The gig starts at 8pm and admission is free.

QUIET NIGHT IN

Go on, you know you want to – start watching Christmas films with the kids, that is. How about Arthur Christmas (U), available on DVD?
