Summer shows

STAMFORD Shakespeare Company opens its summer season of shows with Oliver Twist on Monday.

The 600 seat open air theatre in the attractive grounds of Tolethorpe Hall just outside Stamford has a permanent covered auditorium and no performance is ever cancelled because of rain.

It was described by the Stage newspaper as England’s premier alfresco venue.

Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01780 75613 but the matine performances of Oliver Twist have sold out.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream opens on June 16 while The Tempest opens on July 7
