Sunday is Remembrance Day, a memorial day observed in many parts of the world.
Services are taking place at many churches throughout the district, including Spalding, where the ceremony begins just before 11am in Ayscoughfee Gardens.
At Pinchbeck, the parade will leave from the village hall at 10.30am for a 10.45am service at St Mary’s Church, followed by wreath laying at the war memorial.
Following a service (9.45am) at St Peter & St Paul’s at Gosberton the congregation will walk to the war memorial for 11am. There is also a short service at Gosberton Risegate war memorial at 2pm.
Holbeach Town Band is playing during the service at Holbeach St Marks (2.45pm).
At Sutton Bridge, tomorrow’s service of Remembrance (7.30pm) at the Royal British Legion hall will be followed by a social evening with free admission.
