Royal pair get red carpet treatment at bike shop

Waiting for Video...

Spalding Flower Parade 2013 Prince and Princess Ellis Newton and Millie Weller had a town bike shop all to themselves as the reality of their roles in this year’s event finally sunk in.

Ellis (10) of Pinchbeck and Millie (9) of Cowbit were choosing their prize bikes after being selected as the flower parade’s royal pair for the event on May 4.

Jo Newton, Ellis’ mum, said: “He likes to dress up and look smart, so he will love the flower parade,” while Millie’s mum, Nicky Weller, said: “She was so delighted and surprised to be chosen as the flower parade’s Princess.

“She’s been on an absolute high ever since.”
