New Model Show in Springfields
A NEW event for plane and boat collectors and enthusiasts has been organised for Sunday at Springfields.
Colin Boor has been organising specialist model shows for over 20 years, including Model Tractors and latterly Model truck and Construction shows.
But after speaking to model aircraft and boat collectors and builders it was decided a dedicated show was missing from the early spring calendar.
Closely following the successful format of the tractor and truck and construction events, it is expected to attract the leading model collectors and dealers from across the UK.
Expect to find a wide selection of obsolete model aircraft and boats on offer, as well as the latest model releases.
The show also hopes to attract dealers specialising in remote control, kit builders, scratch builders and an ever increasing diecast selection as well as literature, books, memorabilia, clothing and spares to make it a fantastic day out for aviation and nautical enthusiasts.
Local gliding and sailing clubs will also be in attendance to promote their clubs.
Colin said: "Our tractor and truck and construction events are getting busier than ever and we thought we would like to offer plane and boat enthusiasts the same type of dedicated show.
"We've already had plenty of interest and hope that it will become an annual event."
