Fairtrade coffee morning in Spalding

editorial image

It’s Fairtrade Fortnight at the moment and South Holland District Council is holding a coffee morning today (9.30am to 11.30am).

It’s the council’s seventh coffee morning, held at its offices in Priory Road in Spalding to celebrate the fortnight, which runs to March 6.

The Fairtrade Foundation, an independent non-profit organisation that licences the use of the Fairtrade mark on products in the UK, seeks to transform trade structures and practices in favour of the poor and disadvantaged throughout the world.

Visitors to the coffee morning will be able to sample Fairtrade products, including tea, coffee, chocolate, cereal bars and fruit.

The organisers are asking for donations and all money received goes to the steering group to help promote and raise awareness of Fairtrade.

Call 01775 764868 or visit www.southhollandfairtrade.org.uk for more information.
