Come for lights fantastic!

As the festive season approaches, Tulip Radio is putting the final touches to the Christmas Light Switch-on this Saturday. We would like to thank all of the guests who have come in to Tulip Radio throughout 2012 to entertain and inform us – and especially to those who will be entertaining us all again in Hall Place on Saturday.

Our first guests of the year were David Norton and Jason Rooke, who told us about the work of Spalding and District Area Chamber of Commerce, and encouraged many local businesses to sign up and find a voice through this effective organisation. Through Chamber, Tulip Radio took on the organising of the Christmas Light Switch On this Saturday.

In the summer, singer-songwriter Meg McPartlin wowed us with her fantastic live studio performance.

More recently, Derrick Martin, the longest-serving member of Kirton Brass Band came into the studio to tell us about the band’s history.

Recently we spoke live to Polka Dot about this year’s Christmas family pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, at the South Holland Centre and cast members will be performing songs al fresco throughout Spalding during Saturday.

In addition, many more local entertainers will be out in force this Saturday to guarantee a day chock full of entertainment from 10am.
