Annual ceilidh this weekend

THE annual south Lincolnshire Winter Warmer Ceilidh takes place on Saturday, February 11.

The event is held at Bourne Corn Exchange, starting with Bourne Borderers Mixed Morris Team opening the celebrations at 8pm.

This year’s performers include the elusive Black Dog Ceilidh Band, who “come out of hibernation” to give their new dances for the season a first airing – along with all the old favourites.

Tap ’n’ Sync will be demonstrating Appalachian dancing at its very best and Hex – a harmony group comprising Ruth Price and Terry and Linda Dix – performing a savage rendition of traditional three-part harmony, featuring rousing shanties and chorus songs.

Tickets are £8 each, available by calling 01778 440444 or 07973 711746 or by emailing elblckdg@aol.com. Early booking is advised.
