Former Holbeach residents who fought in conflicts have been remembered.
The remembrance service was organised by Holbeach Cemetery Chapels Trust in partnership with the Royal British Legion and Holbeach Cemetery Research Group.
The Act of Remembrance commemorated those interred in Holbeach Cemetery as part of a Reminiscence Day event.
The service was inspired by original research by Patrick and Jo-Anne Halford, of the Holbeach Cemetery Research Group, with support from Tony and Jenny Worth.
The ceremony was conducted by Roger Green, of the RBL, accompanied by four standard bearers. County chairman Tony Goodwin gave the address.
The ceremony closed with a cemetery trail, the assembly standing in silence at each grave to hear a brief history of the deceased, before placing a cross at their headstone.
In-Group co-ordinator (Cemetery Survey) Patrick Halford said: “It has taken us a couple of weeks, off and on, to find them all and to verify their details, but we share the belief that it is important to do all that we can to remember them. We are delighted to have been able to work with the Holbeach Cemetery Chapels Trust, Jenny and Tony Worth and the Royal British Legion.”
