Our cul-de-sac not 'cleanest'

So South Holland District Council is proud of having the cleanest streets in the East Midlands (Spalding Guardian, May 1).
This does not extend to our cul-de-sac which is ignored and is blighted with grass cuttings when the adjacent green is cut.

I hold an SHDC letter of July 2002, which requires residents in areas like ours to telephone to request that sweeping is undertaken.

We pay the same council tax but do not receive equal benefits in this respect.

Perhaps SHDC could now condescend to include all streets in their road sweeping programme and remove the need for a request to rest with the residents.
