How heartening it was to read of the Cabinet working party's decision to finally engage in real public consultation with regard to the future of sport and leisure in Spalding.
It is simply a pity that so many of us have had to lobby for so long and with personal soul searching as to what was the right approach, to finally get the commitment to fully consult.

Let's hope that the consultation really will be unbiased and offer the many options, as opposed to simply one of selling off the Castle Field or not.

One assumes that the outcome of the consultation will, of course, significantly influence the final decision.

I would urge everyone who has or may have a view in the future as to where sport and leisure should be in Spalding to have their say.

If you don't, it may be too late.
