How frustrating it is to see letters from Delia Williams and Angela Skeels proclaiming that others such as Rodney Sadd, Jason Johnson and Allen Soper have either chips on their shoulders or axes to grind.
I find their letters interesting, offering as they do a viewpoint that I actually agree with.

As a mother of two living in Spalding and the surrounding area all my life I am distraught at the way my home is changing. With everything moving to the town outskirts my home will soon become a ghost town with no heart.

I face every week, like many others, the rising costs of living, so what do my local councillors do to help that is within their ability?

Move the town to the outskirts and force me to drive, increasing my cost of travel, and continue to increase their own salaries with no regard as to how I am going to pay for it!

I say keep it up to Messrs Sadd, Johnson and Soper and the others who dare to raise an opposing voice.

I have never bothered with local elections before, but thanks to these people, who without being asked or paid, seem to have more heart for my town than the collective council put together.

I shall vote next time – and I shall vote for anyone not already a councillor and say good riddance to the lot of them.
