Fly-tippers regularly use dykes and back roads across the district as places to dump their rubbish.
Hurn Road, which links Holbeach and Holbeach Hurn, is one of the regular spots for frequent fly-tippers.

Sacks of refuse, bricks and debris and an old television were recently dumped there.

Coun Worth says it is disappointing to see rubbish by the side of the road and he wants to get tough on the people who blight the countryside in this way.

He said: "Some of these people have probably driven ten miles to take it out there when they could have taken it to the tip or put it in bags for collection.

"One of the things in the parish plan is strict enforcement of fly-tipping. If we can catch somebody doing it we have the powers to give them quite a hefty fine.

"Holbeach mostly looks good thanks to the litter picking in the town centre but our plan is for the whole of the parish."

South Holland District Council's community neighbourhood warden Michael Knight says the clean-up team checks through the refuse to see if they can identify the culprits.
