Resident from across South Holland have continued to answer our call to name and shame the parts of the district that ruin its appearance.
n George Wilson, of Market Street in Long Sutton, pointed out two areas in the centre of his town.

He highlighted a spot near the bus stop in Market Place where an unsightly pile of cigarette ends has mounted up as well as an area further down the road where refuse has been dumped and called on South Holland District Council to change its priorities in the town.

He said: "Our conservation officer boasted about removing one or two satellite aerials from the skyline.

"Well, that doesn't bother me.

"Doesn't she notice what is under her feet instead?"

  • Doris Joyes, of Sandringham Court, Holbeach, is concerned about the fly-tip that has grown behind her house, which has seen fencing, a table, chair and broken glass dumped.

She said: "If anyone comes to stay, when they look out of the spare room window they can see a load of rubbish.

"It is getting worse and I am not prepared to put up with it.

"If it was like this when I moved here then I wouldn't have bought the house."
