Spalding's own '60s band Sounds Force 5 could well appear at Liverpool's famous Cavern
The band recently became the first live act to appear in the new multi-million pound exhibition hall at the East of England Showground.

The event was recorded for a possible live CD and compered by Liverpool's top radio DJ Phil Easton, who is trying to secure the band an appearance at The Cavern in the autumn.

The band's summer barbecue on September 5 at Springfields, Spalding, with Eddie Floyd has now sold more than 500 tickets.

Last call for tickets should be made to the South Holland Centre on 01775 764777.

Drummer Colin Ward said: "We are delighted with the success the band is having second time around. We had no idea that it would lead to all of this."
